To play Othello, each player chooses a color, black or white. Place the four starting pieces in the middle of the board. Players take turns placing one piece on an empty space. Your goal is to trap your opponent’s pieces between two of your own pieces in a straight line. When you trap their pieces, flip them over to your color. Keep taking turns until there are no more legal moves or the board is full. Count the pieces of each color at the end. The player with the most pieces wins!
